Here are the steps you can try to fix with installing Edge on Windows 11 or 10 PCs:

Change registry settings

Corrupted registry entries on Windows PCs can cause problems installing Edge browser on Windows. So, you need to repair corrupted entries in order to fix Edge installation on Windows without showing error 0xa0430721. 

Note . Back up Registry Editor before making any changes to it. 

  • Press Win + R to open the Run dialog box.
  • Enter ” regedit” and click OK.
  • Then the UAC window will ask you, click “Yes” to allow the Registry Editor to open.
  • In the registry go to the path given below – 

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\EdgeUpdate\Clients\{F3C4FE00-EFD5-403B-9569-398A20F1BA4A}

  • Right-click the entry “F3C4FE00-EFD5-403B-9569-398A20F1BA4A” and click Delete .
  • A warning window will appear confirming that this entry has been deleted, click Yes .
  • Now that you have deleted the above entry, restart your computer .

Boot to Windows 11/10 again and try to install Microsoft Edge again using the installer. You can get the Edge installer from the official website .  

Run the Edge installer as administrator.

Once you have the offline installer for Microsoft Edge, follow these steps to install it on your Windows PC:

  • Right click on the downloaded offline Edge installer and select the option – Run as administrator .
  • Let this setup file install successfully on your computer.
  • Do not perform any other tasks while installing Edge.
  • Hopefully your device is now running the Edge browser.

  • When Windows restarts, navigate to the folder where you downloaded the offline Chrome installer.
