Raptor Lake prices leaked to Europe

It is from our Spanish homes that we get prices for the Intel Raptor Lake range. This is one of the largest online retailers in the country PCComponentes , which has posted the entire range on its website. Unsurprisingly, the prices are almost identical to the leaks found last week in Germany. So the exercise in waiting to know the actual performance of this 13th gen Intel is to compare it to the Ryzen 7000. And it seems like things are turning in favor of the blues in this little game.

Raptor Lake: From €379.90 to €749.90.

If we start with the “small” i5, we will find 2 versions with obviously different prices. The Core i5-13600KF, with its 14-core and 20-thread configuration (6x P-Core + 8x E-Core) clocked at 3.50/5.10 GHz but without integrated graphics, is priced at 379 euros. 90, while the “K” version, identical in specifications but with an active iGPU, costs 409.90 euros.

The price to compare with the Ryzen 7600X (again, we’re not discussing performance here) can be found between 360 and 380 €. We will find the same delta on the top 13900KF which loses 30€ when we withdraw its IGP…

Making PCs with Raptor Lake will be more cost effective than switching to AMD

In short, the head-on competition is played out by a few inches, but the real topic remains the combination of using these new processors with the new card and new RAM. And here Intel comes out of the game, taking advantage of the compatibility of the series of motherboards designed for Alder Lake. So equipping yourself with a Raptor Lake is much cheaper than switching to AM5 on much more expensive motherboards… A strategy reminiscent of the one that has benefited AMD for years, where the end consumer could take advantage of the previous generation. motherboards to lower prices.
